What I should have said in February of 1991 when my then husband and I received an out of court settlement in the form of two checks. I should have taken my half, our three kids, and hit the door running.
Instead, he managed to spend $117,000.00 by September of the same year.
Worse yet, we got that money because one of our children was injured at birth and died in 1984.

Sat, March 17, 2007 - 2:52 AMI was birthing babies from 1981-1987. Yes, he's fat, sloppy and still a drunk now.
I, on the other hand, am married to an amazing man 9 years younger than I. We are blissfully happy, and in the last 14 years, that man has helped my three children turn grow into wonderful young adults.
Better than any revenge, at least I can say I not only survived, but thrived in spite of my first husband.
